Liver Health Workshop
Instructor: Traci Hanson
The liver performs more than 560 functions in the body! It is the largest organ (excluding the skin), and it filters the blood for hormones and chemicals that no longer serve our bodies and filters the toxins and poisons we ingest/inhale daily. The liver is the organ associated with the emotions of anger, irritation, and frustration in Chinese medicine and closely related to how well we are able to access and use our “personal power.” In this workshop you will learn simple meditative techniques for clearing the constricting and limiting energies from the liver so that the liver - and the rest of your body - may operate from vitality and wellness. Taking Charge of Your Blood Pressure
Instructor: Anu de Monterice
As an adult, you have a 1 in 5 chance of having high blood pressure, and if you reach 65 or over, your chance is greater than 1 in 2. Your risk of stroke, heart attack, heart failure, and death will rise in a consistent and continuous fashion as blood pressure rises above an optimal level of 115/75. If you do have high blood pressure, chances are less than 1 out of 3 that you have the condition under good control. But you can control your blood pressure and this class shows how: through diet and special foods, exercise regimens, stress management, herbs and supplements, and if need be, medications. Features information you won’t find anywhere in a single source. (4 classes)

Anxiety, Depression, Anger and the Fifth Chakra
Instructor: Traci Hanson
Anxiety, depression and anger. These are uncomfortable energies to be sure, and we tend to not talk about them for that reason. This workshop will focus on the relationship between anxiety, depression and anger and how these energies disempower your fifth/throat chakra and inhibit your personal power. You will learn about the emotional, physiological, and energetic effects of these energies on your body.

Repressed anxiety, depression and anger can cause blockages in the body’s energetic system and over time can result in many chronic health issues. In this workshop you will learn simple meditative techniques to energetically clear your body of these stored energies. You will release these energies, clearing your body’s energetic pathways so that your body and emotions operate from vitality and wellness. (1 class)

Keeping the Mind Sharp
Instructor: Anu de Monterice
Concerned about a declining memory? At least half of those over 60 are. About 40% will develop age-related dysfunction, 10% MCI (mild cognitive impairment), and some will proceed to the tragedy of Alzheimer’s. Is there a way to retain a youthful memory and prevent impairment? Yes, indeed! Science is showing us that the adult brain is a lot more resilient and capable of growth and regeneration than we ever thought possible. In this class we’ll take a panel of simple memory tests, then go over the practical ways we can protect and enhance our memory function and delay brain aging. We’ll cover physical exercise, brain/mind exercise, diet, herbs, supplements and drugs; consider risk factors, the sense of smell, alcohol, stress, depression, the importance of sleep, the potency of novelty - and more! Bonus: a 28-page list of annotated online references. (1 class)
