Watercolor Made Fun and Easy

Learn the various techniques used to create the water color painting you’ve always
admired and wished you could do in a fun and relaxed way! Bring: one flat 1/2”
watercolor brush, one 9” x 12” sketch pad 90#, three tubes of watercolor paint: alizarin
crimson, cadmium yellow, pthalo blue, and large watercolor pallette. A $5 materials fee is

Beginning Woodworking
Instructor: Rollin Gehring
This class will focus on the manufacture of useful and decorative wood items and small
furniture, using a variety of machines and hand tools. Safety instruction required for
machine use, therefore, all students MUST ATTEND FIRST CLASS. Please no advanced woodworkers
in this class. NOTE: A $15 lab fee is to be paid at time of registration to cover
machinery maintenance and a $10 cash fee is payable to instructor for materials (additional
materials fees may be charged). Please bring pencil, paper, goggles and ear

Experienced Woodworking
Instructor: Rollin Gehring
Students who enroll in this class need to have some experience with woodworking tools and
equipment. It is important to be aware of the proper safety procedures and safe operation
of power equipment, therefore, all students MUST ATTEND FIRST CLASS. Machines
available: table saw, radial arm saw, band saw, jointer, planer, lathe, and more. Bring
good plans, pencil, paper, goggles and ear protection. NOTE: A $15 lab fee is paid at
the time of registration to cover machinery maintenance and a $10 cash fee is payable

Experienced Metalworking
Instructor: Rollin Gehring
A continuing study of basic metalworking operations to include gas and arc welding, wrought
iron work, foundry and sheet metal operations to develop skills for work or pleasure and to
manufacture projects. New optional instruction will include the metal lathe and TIG welding.
NOTE: A $15 lab fee is to be paid at time of registration to cover metalshop consumables such
as welding rods and gases and a $10 cash materials fee is payable to instructor. Students can
supply their own project materials or purchase them from the school Bring pencil, paper, leather

Qigong

Petaluma Community Band
Instructor: Arlene Burney
The Petaluma Community Band is an adult-oriented wind and percussion ensemble. Participants
should have played with a high school and/or college band and want to improve
their music abilities. Participants should have their own instrument. Percussion equipment
is provided. A yearly schedule will be available that includes holiday breaks and scheduled
performances. Open to ages over 18 (high school students need instructor’s permission).
