Basic Computer Concepts (10 classes)
Have you decided it’s time to learn how to use your computer? This basic training will provide you with the information and hands-on practice you need to do so. These classes will provide you with techniques from operating the mouse to storing (and finding) documents.

Just Beyond Computer Basics (10 classes)
These next 10 classes will move you just beyond the basics to learn more about the Windows XP Operating System and introduce you to standard software applications such as WordPad, Calculator and Paint.

Microsoft Word 2003 Basics (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) If you have no (or very little) experience with word processing, this class is designed for you! Learn basic formatting and editing skills; copy, cut and paste; insert tables and graphics; save and print documents; and many tips and tricks for fun and easy word processing.

Intermediate Microsoft Word 2003 (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Introduction to Microsoft Word or equivalent experience) Expand your knowledge of Word to include: create tables of contents; generate mail merges; define and apply paragraph styles, use tab leaders and stops, page and section breaks; insert headers and footers; use templates; and create forms.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Basics (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) In addition to their financial function (income and expenses), spreadsheets are great tools for volunteer coordination, and project organization. Navigate around a spreadsheet; enter, manipulate, and edit data; produce simple calculations; create an income and expense report; and create an address book.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel 2003 (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Introduction to Microsoft Excel or equivalent experience) Expand your knowledge of Excel to include: lock and protect worksheets; create and format charts; sort data and use templates. Bring a personal project (e.g., categorize and/or track a stamp or coin collection, garden plants, DVD’s, or an album collection; or create mailing labels from a list of
contacts) and we will complete it together!

Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 Basics (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) If you would like (or need!) to prepare a slide presentation for your fundraising committee, office sales meeting, or family reunion, PowerPoint is a great tool for the project. At a comfortable, step-by-step pace you will work with slide designs and layouts, edit text, insert graphics, and add transition effects for a fun and/or professional slide show.

QuickBooks Pro Level 1 (6 classes) Textbook additional $45
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, spreadsheet software and basic accounting, or equivalent experience) With QuickBooks, you’ll discover practical tools for managing a small business, a home office, or your personal finances. Level 1 includes basic accounting principals (tracking income, expenses, mileage), company file management, customer and vendor transactions and banking fundamentals.

QuickBooks Pro Level 2 (7 classes) Textbook additional $45
(Prerequisite: Successful completion of QuickBooks Pro Level 1 or equivalent experience) Expand your knowledge of QuickBooks to include inventory management, payroll, balance sheet accounts, company setup and custom reporting functions.

Digital Camera Shot to Print (4 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) Bring your digital camera (and all its accoutrement) to class and we will explore its operation together. You will shoot some pictures, transfer them to the computer and then spruce them up with simple editing processes.

Adobe PhotoElements 5.0 (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) Enhance your photographs, correct errors, and create special effects. This class provides a brief introduction to digital images, pixel painting, layer manipulation, type, and fi lters. Explore your creativity or just have fun!

Retouch & Restore Your Photos (4 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) Do you have faded, creased, or damaged treasured family photos? This class will teach you how to repair, revitalize, retouch and enhance them. Remove blemishes, improve tonality, soften features and correct skin tones.

Internet Fundamentals (6 classes)
Surf the Web like a pro after attending this comfortably paced class! Learn shortcuts & fun skills for accessing the Internet, view web sites and web pages, and use search engines. Save your frequently visited sites and pages in a Favorites folder for easy return access.

Email Essentials (6 classes)
In this comfortably paced class, create your own, personal email account and correspond with friends and loved ones. Discover the ins and outs of an electronic mailbox and address book, practice opening, reading, replying to, storing, and deleting emails. Learn how to send attached files and what to do when you receive one.

PC Tune Up (6 classes)
(Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows Operating System, basic keyboarding and mouse skills) Ensure your PC is protected from viruses, updated routinely, and operating smoothly. Learn how to perform standard Windows, virus, and internet updates; clean up Adware and temporary files; clean up hard disk space for effi cient use of storage memory; and troubleshoot error messages before calling in a tech.
