Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise system that integrates physical postures, breathing and focused intention. The movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality and enhance the immune system. It has been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions. People do Qigong to maintain health, heal their bodies, calm their minds and reconnect with their spirit. (4 classes)

Taiji Principles through Posture

Originating in China, Taiji is now practiced by millions throughout the world. These centuries-old exercises are practiced in a gentle, flowing sequence of relaxed movements. Designed to develop strength, balance and flexibility, the meditative aspects can help you improve stress management and emotional relaxation.

Adult Lap Swim

Enjoy adult lap swim at the Petaluma High School pool located at 201 Fair Street in Petaluma. Outdoor pool is heated to 80 degrees and there are six 25-yard lanes. Please make checks payable to Petaluma Adult School. Sorry, no passes available at this time. $5 per swim.

Yoga: Extra Gentle

This class is for you if you have never done yoga before and want a more gentle introduction to yoga. It’s also perfect for those with physical challenges who want personal attention and guidance on proper alignment. You’ll lengthen your spine, increase relaxation, reduce stress, build strength and flexibility. (8 classes)
