Minimum Requirements
for Administrative Positions:
- A valid
California Administrative Services credential
- Master's degree
for assistant principal, principal, director or assistant superintendent positions
- Minimum of three
years of successful teaching experience
Special Notes
Regarding Employment:
- The applicant offered this position, if not a
current District employee, must be fingerprinted by the District and
have
those fingerprints cleared by the Department of Justice (DOJ) before a
contract can be signed. Actual hire date will be no earlier than
the date that fingerprint clearance is received from the DOJ.
There
is a fee required by the DOJ, payable by the applicant, to process
fingerprints.
Salary:
- Certificated Management
Salary Schedule
- Annual advanced
degree stipend of $1,098 for Master's
- Annual advanced
degree stipend of $2,194 for Doctorate
- Annual stipend of $1,098 for National Board
certification (teaching)
- Longevity stipends
- Salary will be
prorated for contracts less than 1.0 FTE
Benefits:
- The District will pay up to $839.61 per month (the cap)
toward a health plan
for a full-time (1.0 FTE) employee. Employees with contracts less
than .5 FTE are not eligible
to enroll in District health plans, but are eligible to enroll in dental or vision plans.
- Employees with contracts of 1.0 FTE or more are required to enroll in a
health
plan.
- Enrollment in the dental
or vision plans is
optional.
- The
percentage paid by the District of the cap for a health plan, and of
the total premium for dental and/or vision plans is prorated based on
the employee's FTE.
- The District will
pay premiums for a $37,000 life insurance policy for contracts of . 8
FTE - 1. 0 FTE

- Invitations
to Interview:
- Applicant packets
will be evaluated and invitations for interview will be extended to
those
candidates who,on the
basis of the written materials submitted, appear to be the
most qualified for the position
- If invited for
an interview, the applicant will be asked to provide a professional
portfolio
to share with the Selection Advisory Committee; the portfolio will be
returned
to the applicant after a finalist is selected
Interview
Process:
- Applicants will
be asked to spend 30 minutes writing a response to an essay question
chosen by the Selection
Advisory Committee
- Applicants will
be asked to participate in a simulation/role playing event which
will be observed by the Selection Advisory Committee
- Applicants will
participate in an oral interview
- References will
be confirmed for the Selection Advisory Committee’s chosen
finalist(s)
- Some positions require additional interviews with the
Superintendent and Board of Education
