Why Join the PTA?

Just by joining PTA, you show your children that school matters and you are invested in their success – and their future. Here are just a few of the good things about joining PTA:
Get connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in schools or to develop relationships with teachers and principal.
Speak up. PTA gives families and community members a “seat at the table” when important school decisions are being made.
Tap into a network. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. It gives you a forum to discuss/share ideas, concerns and experiences.
Watch yourself grow. By volunteering with your PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause - your child and all children in the community.
Witness improvement. By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes.
Be a role model. By becoming a PTA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
Be A Part Of Something Bigger. The PTA plays an important role in generating much-needed funds for a number of critical requirements including providing building improvements, social events and curriculum-based programs (Technology, Environmental Education, Visual and Performing Arts, Library Services, etc.).
When specific, event-related volunteer opportunities are available, we will post them here. In the meantime, if you're interested in finding out ways to contribute, please email our Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com.
How to Get InvolvedThere are many ways to get involved in the PTA. We rely on everybody’s participation, in varying capacities, in order to continue funding critical programs while promoting and preserving the strong sense of community unique to Cherry Valley.
