This is my 40th year of teaching.  All of my assignments have been in Special Education over a variety of settings including both public and private schools.  In 2005 I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Technology for Special Education students.  I have worked for the district in evaluating and matching students to technology tools that are helpful to them.  I also have extensive experience with ADD/ADHD populations and interventions.  

My philosophy of teaching is to find the learning strengths of a student, and focus on using those strengths to offset any areas of challenge.  I also believe that mindset and motivation are crucial to the learning process and work with my students to talk back to their negative thoughts.  I do find that an orderly classroom with predictable outcomes for behavior and work completion are also essential for students to progress academically.
