Summer Training: June 3rd - August 9th

  • There are three goals you want to accomplish this summer:

    1. Get in shape to start off the season and school year strong and mentally prepared.
    2. Familiarize yourself with the area, including being ready to attack different levels of elevation.
    3. It's summer: Have fun and don't burn out!

In order to accomplish these goals, I recommend completing endurance exercise 3-5 days per week. Try the running routes, or find your own! Try to switch up the exercise formats. Go for a bike ride, go swimming, go to a boot camp class.

Here's how you will know if you've met your summer goals: By the end of summer, you should be able to run at least 4 miles at a fast pace without getting sore afterwards!

Good luck, and I'll see you on the first day of practice: August 10th at 3:30 pm at the PHS track.
