Summer Training: June 3rd - August 9th
There are three goals you want to accomplish this summer:
- Get in shape to start off the season and school year strong and mentally prepared.
- Familiarize yourself with the area, including being ready to attack different levels of elevation.
- It's summer: Have fun and don't burn out!
In order to accomplish these goals, I recommend completing endurance exercise 3-5 days per week. Try the running routes, or find your own! Try to switch up the exercise formats. Go for a bike ride, go swimming, go to a boot camp class.
Here's how you will know if you've met your summer goals: By the end of summer, you should be able to run at least 4 miles at a fast pace without getting sore afterwards!
Good luck, and I'll see you on the first day of practice: August 10th at 3:30 pm at the PHS track.
