PCS COVID Cleaning and Sanitizing Protocols - Elementary and K-8 Sites

    1. On a daily basis, each classroom is being cleaned with a soap and water solution and microfiber towels. A clean towel is used for each classroom.
    2. On a nightly basis, our custodial team will electrostatically spray all school offices, staff workrooms, multi-purpose rooms, kitchens, playgrounds, restrooms, and outside benches using a Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant Solution. This solution is a non-toxic and plant-based “spray and go” solution, meaning that it gets sprayed onto surfaces and is left there to sanitize overnight until it evaporates (MSDS Sheet).
    3. Also on a nightly basis, all high touch points in classrooms are disinfected with Buckeye Eco Neutral Disinfectant. This multi-purpose, neutral pH, broad-spectrum germicidal detergent is designed for use in hospital, healthcare and school settings for routine germicidal cleaning.

High touch points include, but are not limited to: door handles, door jams, sinks, student desks, student chairs, light switches, and soap and hand sanitizer dispensers.
