Negotiations - PFT
Updates to be posted when available.
We have some exciting news to share - the negotiations teams have just reached a three-year Tentative Agreement (TA), which will conclude negotiations for the 2019-20 school year.
Some of the highlights of the TA include:
-Increased the salary schedule by 3.8% across-the-board
-Increased the annual Master stipend to $1,400 and the Doctoral stipend to $2,400
-Established that any TK classroom with over twenty (20) students will have a three-hour Instructional Assistant
-Agreed to develop a retirement incentive option for those who choose to retire in June of 2020
-Developed a pathway for CTE teachers to advance on the salary schedule
-Established a Special Ed subcommittee and an Alternative Education subcommittee, both of which have already scheduled meeting dates
-Established an annual Shared Decision-Making training for all sites
-Developed clarifying language around the annual parity salary adjustment
This Tentative Agreement will be finalized next week and copies will be available for bargaining unit members on Monday, October 7th. There will be a ratification meeting and vote scheduled shortly thereafter. You will receive a separate announcement from the Federation via your private email with more information.
Both parties agreed that the tenor at the table was positive and professional. We are optimistic that we will continue to work together in a trusting and respectful manner. If you have any questions, please contact Matthew Harris (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Sandra Larsen (email@example.com).
