Petaluma Accelerated Charter School (PACS) at McKinley is a small and diverse 7th and 8th grade school offering scholars a caring, dynamic, and rigorous middle school experience.
FOCUS AREAS:
- Character development and building a positive community of learners
- Rigorous and accelerated academic program
- Three years of math compacted into 7th and 8th grade
- Honors-level English in both 7th and 8th grade
- Spanish curriculum over the course of 7th and 8th grade
- Integrated instructional curriculum
- Electives: Film Studies, Leadership, Robotics, Visual Art

In 2021, Petaluma Accelerated Charter School at McKinley (PACS) was named as the #1 middle school in California by national publication U.S. News & World Report. See the full list and details here.
PACS was also selected as a 2019 California Distinguished School, one of 162 California schools to be given the designation and the only school in Sonoma County.
