Step 1

Complete the Petaluma City Schools Registration Form.  Please submit only one district registration form per student, indicating schools requested in choice order. When you finish filling out the form, please return it to your school of choice.

In addition to the PCS Registration Form, you must return the following documents to the office in order to be considered enrolled:

• Date of Birth Confirmation, such as:
  • Original/certified copy of birth certificate
  • Passport
  • Baptism certificate
  • Birth Record
  • For questions or other options, please contact your school of choice
• Proof of address, such as:
• Utility service payment receipts (e. PG&E bill)
• Rental payment receipts

Step 2

Identify your school of residence using the School Finder. If you are registering for a school outside of your school of residency, you must complete and return a transfer form. Find out more about transfers and download the forms on our District Transfer page here.

Step 3

Once accepted, complete Data Confirmation. This will happen during the summer months and you should receive communication from the District or your school at this time. If you have any questions, please contact your school's registrar, listed above. You will need to return the following information before the first day of school to complete your child’s registration so that they may attend school.

Step 1

If your student attends one of the following schools, counselors from our High Schools will come to your school to discuss registration after Winter Break.

• Kenilworth Junior High
• Petaluma Junior High
• Mary Collins School at Cherry Valley
• Petaluma Accelerated Charter

If your student does not attend one of the schools above, please continue to Step 2. If you have any questions throughout the process, please contact the Registrar at the High School of your choice for information on required paperwork and next steps.

Please fill out the PCS Registration Form as well as the additional documents listed below. When you finish filling out the paperwork, please return it to your school of choice.

Enroll Here for TK and K!

We are excited to announce that we will be using a new user-friendly registration platform this year for our primary (TK-6 and TK-8) schools! We know that registration has been confusing and time-consuming in the past and our goals are to fix that as well as to improve communication with families throughout the process. • Enrollment in Kindergarten is open to children who turn five by September 1, 2019.
• Enrollment in Transitional Kindergarten for 2019-20 is open to children who turn five by January 15, 2020. 
• Priority for Transitional Kindergarten in the 2019-20 school year will be given to children who turn five between September 2 and December 2, 2019.
• Outside Age Range: For students who turn five after January 15, 2020, we cannot accept full applications at this time, but please fill out our TK Interest Form and we will contact you if and when we are able to open TK registration up to later birthdates!
