LumaCon! 2017 Logo Contest Winner - Lani Wongkar

Lani Wongkar receiving award LumaCon! 2017 is the only event of its kind in the area--a local comic book convention for youth that is put on by, and benefits the Casa Grande High School Library, Petaluma High School Library, and Petaluma branch of the Sonoma County Library system.  The organizers of LumaCon! 2017 held their second annual LumaCon! Logo Contest, and with over 40 entries from students throughout the Petaluma City Schools District,  ninth grader Casa Grande High School student Lani Wongkar was selected as the winner.

Wongkar designed the logo in her Graphic Design class, taught by David Meirik.  She received a $50 cash prize as well as a table at this year's LumaCon! where she can sell merchandise with her logo on it. The logo will be used in all promotional material, as well as on this year's LumaCon! t-shirt.

LumaCon! 2017 will be on Saturday, January 28th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and is free to attend.
