Casa Grande & Kenilworth Siblings Win Congressional App Challenge

Hazel and Andrew Prasetya with Congressman Jared Huffman Congratulations to Hazel Prasetya, Casa Grande, and Andrew Prasetya, Kenilworth, winners of the Congressional App Challenge for California's 2nd Congressional District! They will be going to Washington, D.C. in the Spring for a two-day #HouseOfCode celebration of computer science with members of Congress and other guest speakers! Siblings Hazel and Andrew were both Design Lab students of Kenilworth Junior High teacher, Laura Bradley.

To participate, students submitted original applications for a chance to have their app on display in the U.S. Capitol Building. In addition, they create a YouTube explaining the purpose of their app and how to use it. To learn more about their app, you can watch their Cubic Calculator video on YouTube, in which they explain their graphing calculator app.
